City Defense: tower defense on a real city map
City Defense is a free tower defense game you play in the browser on a real 3D map of a city. You build towers on the roofs of real buildings, enemies walk real streets, and the map is built on the fly from OpenStreetMap data. The first mission is náměstí Svobody in Brno, Czech Republic, and the mission editor lets you set up a mission anywhere in the world.
City Defense is free to play in your browser – no download, no sign-up. First mission: Brno, náměstí Svobody.

How it differs from a classic tower defense game
- The level isn't drawn – it's a real city. Streets, buildings and building heights come from OpenStreetMap.
- Height matters. A tower on a taller building reaches further. Machine guns and lasers need line of sight; mortars and howitzers fire over the roofs.
- The city is destructible. Buildings have hit points, lose floors and collapse. Rubble buries streets and changes enemy routes.
- Enemies attack your buildings too. Shooters, sappers and bosses try to bring down the buildings your towers stand on.
- You can make your own map. The mission editor builds a mission anywhere in the world, and you share it as a link.
